spider silk

a series of high-strength natural technical fibers

Spider silk properties
Each spider's web contains six types of spider silk fibers and one type of biological glue, each with
outstanding physical properties.

Spider silk has broad application scenarios

Spider silk rivals Kevlar in strength, surpasses nylon in toughness, and outperforms other synthetic fibers.
Naturally eco-friendly and lightweight, spider silk enhances comfort, providing wearers with increased mobility.

LINK SPIDER ’s exclusive spider silk production technology

Genetically modified

Spiders, due to their predatory and cannibalistic
nature, are impractical for large-scale farming.

The spider silk on webs consists of a complex mixture, making it difficult to separate and process for practical use.

Gene editing in silkworms enables the production of silk fibers with larger molecular weights and enhanced performance, and can also be scaled up using traditional silk production methods.

LINK SPIDER is currently stabilizing the development of
silkworm strains to rapidly scale up for commercial production.
Simultaneously, LINK SPIDER is iterating on the development
of three other types of spider silk. In the future, we plan to
introduce the six major types of spider silk into silkworms,
creating a diverse range of new protein fibers through
processes like hybrid breeding.
